Dominical Beach is located 35 km from San Isidro El General (Pérez Zeledón) and approximately 40 Km from Quepos. Dominical is famous for its surfing. Dominical  is not  typical tourism attraction, as it still is a rustic, very small beach town. Surfers and families looking  for the true Costa Rica and good surfing come to Dominical. Here you will find a lot of privacy and solitude.
At Dominical, you will find small typical restaurants, called "Sodas" and some of the freshest sea food possible. Fish, shrimp, and langosta (lobster), can be bought right off the boats in Dominicalito, or you can bring your own rod and reel - Dominical's river mouth, the Boca del Río Barú, is an excellent spot for snook, snapper, and roosterfish. If you want to swim, you should be cautions, as it usually has dangerous currents.
